About me
Jack joined Colorado Nonprofit Association in September 2024 and serves as the Associate Director of Government Affairs. In this role, Jack is the lead advocate for the Association’s membership, working closely with individual member organizations to understand their needs and communicate sector-wide solutions at the State Capitol.
Prior to CNA, Jack served as the Constituent Services Director for Congresswoman Diana DeGette, where he worked since 2019. Jack became familiar with many of Colorado’s nonprofits through this role, as he collaborated with community resource organizations to deliver immediate assistance to those in need in the Denver area.
Jack also served as the local-lead for the Congresswoman’s Environmental Justice and Public Lands issue portfolios, which also allowed him to work closely with the large number of environmentally focused nonprofits in Colorado and the Mountain-West region.
Through the sum of his experience, Jack deeply enjoys matching the legislative process with lived experiences on the ground. Jack believes in a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, with the goal of identifying trending issues and pairing them with upcoming legislative opportunities.
Jack is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Denver in 2014 to study at the University of Denver, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While many of his classmates were studying abroad, Jack had the unique experience to work in Washington DC as an intern for a member of Congress.
Jack loves Colorado, and in his free time he enjoys hiking, skiing, fishing in the South Platte River, and reading about North American history.
